The Advisory Group of IndiaCo works closely with clients in developing their strategic business plans, raise capital, grow organically and through acquisitions, and realign their business and financial structures to meet their long term goals.

Early stage companies typically require our assistance in developing strategic plans, raising capital, and providing management bandwidth. We assist mid-size growing companies in reevaluating their strategy, creating systems and processes to support their growth, raising capital, and in business development and acquisitions. In mature companies, we typically assist in business and financial restructuring, divestment of non-core operations, and providing a fresh independent perspective on the company in the context of its position in its industry in India and globally.
We also assist Private Equity and Venture capital funds in developing their India investment strategies and in deployment of funds.
IndiaCo follows a highly involved investing style that does not follow the typical “portfolio” approach wherein 20% of your portfolio companies will contribute to 80% of your profit. Instead we nurture all our portfolio companies by strategically getting involved & help the management maximize their profitability, which in turn contributes to our higher return on investment.
Hence we are not your typical investment banks although our main focus has been and continues to be investment. We are in a position to bank a deal because we have several relationships that we could leverage for investment. However, when we do look at a transaction, our first approach is that of an investor on how we can best add value and incrementally build any business.
We provide a very involved engagement, investing a substantial amount of time on other aspects of the business. In our experience, smaller firms are not able to pay or compensate us for the services we provide; hence our aversion to play a role of just an investment banker for smaller companies where we have little strategic interest.
IndiaCo is best geared to provide advise for efficient use of capital that has a neatly designed exit option for capital/investment. This works for larger firms ($20M- $50M top-line) that have IP or for firms looking to scale rapidly where capital is a by-product of what we/the company is able to leverage.
